Balance8 at the Imperial Entrepreneurs Showcase
Balance8 was proud to take part in the Imperial Entrepreneurs Showcase, held at the Science Museum as part of Imperial Business School's Welcome Day. Bringing together incoming MSc and MBA students, the event celebrated innovation, entrepreneurship and the start of a new academic journey. For us, it was an opportunity to return to a community that has played an important role in our own story and share how Balance8 has grown from an idea into a specialised wellness company.
Sharing Our Journey
Throughout the day, we had the privilege of meeting students from around the world, each bringing their own ambitions, ideas and entrepreneurial aspirations. Our conversations extended beyond introducing our products. We shared the journey behind Balance8, the inspiration for creating BrainMatter, and our vision of building specialised wellness brands that address different aspects of everyday health through evidence-led formulations. From discussing product development and brand building to the realities of launching and growing a business, it was inspiring to connect with individuals preparing to begin their own careers in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Wellness Meets Entrepreneurship
Success in business often demands sustained focus, resilience and the ability to perform under pressure. These are challenges many students and entrepreneurs experience long before they enter the workplace. The showcase created an opportunity to talk about the role wellness plays in supporting those ambitions. Whether through better cognitive performance during demanding periods of study or creating healthier daily routines, the conversations reinforced why supporting wellbeing is just as important as pursuing professional success. Those discussions reflect the philosophy behind Balance8: creating products that fit naturally into everyday life while helping people perform at their best.

What made the event particularly memorable wasn't simply exhibiting our brand—it was the people we met along the way. From thoughtful questions about formulation and product development to conversations about entrepreneurship, innovation and personal wellbeing, every interaction reminded us why community engagement remains such an important part of our journey. Meeting future founders, business leaders and innovators in an environment dedicated to discovery made the day especially rewarding.
